I am a qualified CA(SA) and a registered Tax Practitioner.

I started my working career as an Article Clerk at one of the major audit firms in South Africa for 4 years. In this period I gained accounting, tax and audit experience on a large number of business types and sectors, including farming operations. My experience also included company secretarial work, e.g. company setup and registrations and changes to shareholders, directors, etc. This later included similar work on Closed Corporations (CC) on setup, registration and changes to the members.

In 1995 I relocated to Bellville and worked for 6 years as an Audit / Accounting Manager at a leading accounting firm in the Northern Suburbs. There I gained further experience on the above mentioned areas at a higher level. I also improved my skills on computers and software installations.

After this I worked for 10 years as Financial Manager in the Retail industry. During this period I gained valuable experience on the daily management of a business and the monthly reporting for it. I was also in charge of the IT function of the business and with this enhanced  my skills on the internet, e-mails and networks. This also included software installations and maintenance. I also gained some experience on databases and the extraction of data from it for reports.

After my 10 year period in the Retail sector I decided to start my own business offering services with the skills and knowledge that I have accumulated over the years.

I recently worked as consultant on an ERP implementation project. I facilitated the whole implementation of the system, from the planning, setup, installation and staff training to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation. The project consisted of a hosted server environment with 110 users. This gave me further knowledge on the setup of hosted systems and the support on it.

The cost for the services are in general billed on a fixed rate based on the time spent delivering the service. For monthly on-going services a fixed fee can be negotiated. The time required for each customer for a specific service can be affected by different factors and circumstances and therefore a fixed fee cannot be quoted up front per type of service.
